It was everything and nothing like I expected. Oh so grateful for this show and all the beautiful places I got to go and all of the beautiful people it brought into my life!! The people!!! The Hadestown Proshot is PHENOMENAL! It captures the emotion, music, and staging so beautifully. If you couldn’t already tell, Hadestown is one of my favorite musicals of all time and I’ve had the pleasure of seeing it twice on tour. 🎭

@anaismitchell’s lyrics and melodies are enduring and the performances from @pagepatrick @glambergray @livevamaria @reevecarney and @andre_deshields are unparalleled. It’s why I listen to the Hadestown OBCR and OCR at least once a week. 🏭🌹⛈️💡

“It’s a sad song
We keep singing even so
It’s an old song
It’s an old tale from way back when
And we’re gonna sing it again and again
We’re gonna sing it again”

“Some flowers bloom where the green grass grows
Our praise is not for them
But the ones who bloom in the bitter snow
We raise our cups to them
We raise our cups and drink them up
We raise ‘em high and drink ‘em dry
To Orpheus and all of us
Goodnight, brothers, goodnight“
