Because #GrowWithRenny 3.0 deserves a stand alone post, and not a part of my May Dump!

At the event today, I learned valuable lessons on Career and Personal Development, Financial Discipline, navigating Adulthood effectively, and on building lasting Friendships and Relationships.

The Keynote Speakers and Panelists emphasized the need to be audacious, the need to act in faith, against all forms of fear and self doubt, in reaching one’s dreams and fulfilling God’s purpose.

On Careerpreneurship, I learned that I should approach my career with the mindset of an Entrepreneur. One who is proactive, who does not run away from problems, but rather get them solved. I learned to be intentional, strategic, and disciplined about my Career and Personal Development plans, to also always future-proof my plans. I learned that I should commit to refining my skills, increasing my value and relevance in the corporate world by embracing evolution, even before disruption comes.

From the Panel Sessions:
I learned that failure is only a feedback. It is not a big deal, and I should always take the lessons from any form of failure, and forge ahead.

I learned that Over-commitment is a thief of destiny. I should aim at being an effective individual, and be kind to myself, rather than taking more responsibilities than I can bear for the sake of being the “ever reliable” one.

I should learn to say “No”, not because I am busy with work, but because I am busy being BE-ING!
I should also learn to accept “Nos” without taking offense, as this will help me not to feel guilty when I say “No” to over-commitment.

Lastly, today was another reminder for me to MARRY WELL (no other way around it)!
I really admired the power couple, @morenikemolehin and @yomimol today.
May God continue to bless, uphold, and keep you in His perfect love and peace.

I had lots of fun too!
Today was well spent and invested - 2 in 1! 😄
