A late thank you note to the wonderful guys!!

It wasn’t a typical festive Kerala wedding. In fact, it was far from it. We were going through an incredibly tough financial time, probably one of the hardest phases for a middle-class family like ours. Everything had to be done on a tight budget, and time wasn’t on our side either. The wedding couldn’t be postponed.

It was initially meant to be a simple register marriage. But my brother, Shabith, with all his heart, wanted a small function, just so Chinnu would feel truly welcomed into our family. We managed to pull everything off, including a bit of light renovation at home, all in a very small budget. I know not everyone was happy with how simple or untraditional it was, but honestly, none of that matters.

I was out of town until just two days before the big day. Everything was chaotic. Shabith almost called it off. Apparently, a doctor mistakenly diagnosed him with a serious liver condition, and he didn’t want Chinnu to suffer with him. Absolutely everything felt like it was falling apart.

But this post is not about the struggles. It’s about the whole hearted support from Shabith’s friends.

To be honest, I never really got to know you all that well before. But now, after what you did, I admire and appreciate you deeply. This is a thank-you note to each and every one of you, from the bottom of my heart.
When the four of us were struggling to get things done and barely holding it together. You guys stepped in and took charge of almost everything from cleaning to stage decor, food arrangements, transportation, even his dress, without any hesitation or complaints. I saw you working tirelessly, whether it was sticking vinyl on the floor or handling a hundred little details that most people don’t even notice. You guys just showed us how much you care about him🙂

You didn’t just help us, you carried us through. And for that, we will always be grateful.

Love ❤️
