Looking back now, it’s strange how naturally the idea arrived, almost fully formed, in the space of a single day. Everything that followed required considerably more work. We collaborated with talented designers who helped translate the vision into something tangible. Shredha helped design the visuals for Bluepress’s very first launch video, giving the publication its first public face.

I first came across Sophie’s work on Instagram while looking for someone to create graphics for a photoshoot I had produced earlier that year. Months later, when Bluepress began to take shape, I realised her aesthetic perfectly matched the publication I had imagined. Asking her to join the team felt inevitable. Today, Sophie continues to shape the visual identity of Bluepress, including the very post you’re reading. We’ve never actually met; she’s designing it all from Switzerland.

I’m grateful to the handful of people who believed in Bluepress before there was much to believe in.

There’s still a great deal we want to build. Thank you for being here at the beginning.

We’ve had the privilege of speaking with remarkable people, learning from their practices, and documenting the ideas shaping fashion today. Every conversation has made Bluepress better.

None of this would have happened without that conversation with Maria outside the Wallace Collection.

And a special thank you to Suhail from Garuda-SS for saying yes to Bluepress’s very first interview after I randomly asked him on Instagram Live. Still can’t believe that worked, lmao.
