To know Buckner was to love Buckner. Every single time he walked in a room he put a smile on everyone’s face. He was the most fun guy I know, he was always down for a good time, and would always be there for you anytime you needed him. He was an excellent story teller, great golfer, and an even better friend. Buckner was always the life of the party, loved to sing karaoke, and always down to dance. He was the same around everyone he didn’t care who you were. I struggle right now asking why, but I know god has a greater plan that we may not understand right now. I know he’s up in heaven riding the roads with the windows down listening to Hardy, smiling down on all of us. I am extremely grateful for the memories we made and the impact you made on my life and everyone else’s life. Rest easy Bucky, love ya!

Today I left a huge piece of my heart in Auburn. If you know me, you know this was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. As much as my mama heart hurts, I’m so excited for Marissa and all that’s waiting for her over the next four years.
Knowing she has the most amazing roommates—and the sweetest families to go along with them—makes this transition a little easier. I already know they’re going to take good care of each other.
I can’t say thank you enough to our family and friends who showed up via FaceTime and in person to help us move. Two SUVs, a truck, and everything had to be carried to the top floor. It took two long days, but we got it done, and it turned out even better than I imagined!
Auburn, be good to my sweet girl. She has the biggest heart, loves fiercely, and will give her all to the people lucky enough to know her. She’s a lot sometimes… but oh, she is so worth it.

Now go shine, sweet girl. I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.
