K9 Shiva’s got a safer ride, thanks to your donations.

With your support, K9s United helped equip the Rush County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit in Indiana with an American Aluminum transport insert and an AceK9 Heat Alarm Pro.

The insert allows the vehicle to transport both Shiva and a prisoner, with a divider keeping them safely separated. The heat alarm monitors vehicle temperatures and alerts the handler if conditions become unsafe.

Your generosity puts specialized safety equipment in the vehicle this team depends on, helping protect Shiva throughout the workday.

We’re grateful to Chris Durbin and Durbin’s Garage for installing the equipment and helping get Shiva’s setup ready for duty.

If you’d like to help us provide more life-saving equipment to K9s in need, please donate today.

Here's a short clip of a recent therapy dog transport unit for a local department. Keeping our therapy and canine units safe with a interior temperature warning system which activates and notifies the surrounding public as well as the officer remotely through a cellular contact.#fleetautosupply #fleetfans #fyp #k9 #experiencethedifference

Four years have flown by with this incredible girl by my side! Another California POST certification seminar in the books! Even while having to trail in the heat, Tupelo continues to amaze me with her drive, dedication, and heart. 🐶 💙

**GEAR UPDATE**

The cheapy Amazon placard I was running was fine, but not what I ultimately wanted. This is also a knock off placard setup from a major company but as you can see, it’s spot on. It is very tough material and I have zero complaints.

Have you ever wondered how we keep our K9s safe while their handlers are working?

Our K9s remain securely in the vehicle until they are needed, and each vehicle stays running and locked whenever it is unattended. Every vehicle is equipped with a specialized temperature gauge that continuously monitors the interior temperature.

If the temperature rises too high, the system automatically activates the car alarm, lowers the windows, turns on a fan, and sends calls and text alerts to multiple handlers’ phones, allowing us to respond immediately.

Tupelo’s challenge coins have officially arrived. She seems pleased with the final product, although she did ask whether they can be exchanged for tennis balls.
