This girl who I now call my sister @_adriananegron took me under her wing when I did my first professional theatre job ever. She taught me how to pin curl my hair and prep my body/mind for a two show day, but it soon became evident- through sharing a dressing room together, late nights of endless conversation, and holding each other through life (on and off stage) - we’d be friends forever.
We all knew the day would come when Dri would make her Broadway debut because she is so unbelievably kind, determined, and the truest triple threat I’ve met- but it felt like magic to find out she’d be gracing that Broadway stage right next to me 🥹
I had to hold back tears of astonishment when she sang to me “stand on your own two feet” during Palace Walls because I can’t tell you how many times she has uttered a version of that to me in real life.
I love you so much Dri. Thank you for being my rock. Being your best friend is the gift of a lifetime and apparently we’re just gonna keep playing best friends on stage too (and always with a poof!) 🩵

ILY JO MY POOKIE BEAR PLZZZ COSPLAY WITH ME

The closest I'll ever get to seeing Sydney Harcourt Tugger irl

Getting to see and take photos at the empty Broadhurst theatre meant SO MUCH to me (thank you mom for stopping everything for me!) Cats: The Jellicle Ball is my everything and the memory will live on!

As you all probably know, I was meant to attend Cats: The Jellicle Ball on August 12th. I was DISTRAUGHT to find out that they closed early. The heads of the industry have failed a show that was so rich in love, spirit, and community. My mom got the money refunded and I chose to see The Lion King. I am beyond devastated that I never got to see a show that is so special to me. It's been a hard process, but Im still working on hearing about my friends' experiences there without getting a little upset. This show has inspired me in so many ways and was one I would've loved to share with my family. I wish it was more popular in the fandom because it is just so wonderfully impressive and the REAL 2026 BEST REVIVAL!! I WILL NEVER ACCEPT OTHERWISE!!!

Oh, Zazu, I love whatever is wrong with you 💙

Joey for Young Simba 2027

As a kid, I had a very brief fixation on The Lion King. ....ok, fine, it was just Timon! The Lion King 1 1/2 DVD was on REPEAT in our room back in the day! I couldn't tell you why I loved him so much, but he's always stuck out to me. Flash forward to seeing him and the rest of the cast shine on stage. WOW, it is MAGICAL! We all had so much fun watching such a brilliantly written and perfectly cast perform on a Tuesday night! Now that I'm 20, I would definitely say that I still LOVE Timon (I even got my plush's tag signed by the man who portrayed Timon on Bway!) but Zazu is really up there! The added bits of Mufasa and generally every character really helped to flesh them out. In a wave of mostly white-led shows, it was very refreshing to see a poc-led musical that was not directly about race. I would recommend seeing The Lion King to anyone and everyone!

(There's a video of me singing Hakuna Matata at a vocal recital somewhere... ;D)

This will be cherished FORE

Some of Agrabah’s finest! 🧞‍♂️

Shot these backstage during a performance 🎭 liked keeping the rawness of the gear in frame, as it’s truly raw awesomeness captured backstage.
