Yoga classes might be what brought you here, but it’s our beautiful community who make it a place worth staying.

I’ve written and re-written captions for this video an obscene amount of times 🥲
Sooo many attempts to articulate what really can’t be put into words.

Because while there are many things that make our little home so special, it’s our incredible teaching team that do one of the most important - making each and all of our visitors feel welcomed, supported and seen.

Come in any state (trust me I’m unintentionally trying them all 😂) and be met with no judgement, just a whole lotta immaculate vibes both on and off the mat.

So if you’ve not yet come for a visit, I can speak on behalf of all us and say we’d love to have you 🥹

Newcomers, this one’s for you ✨

Welcome To Hip Hop Yoga Pass 👋🏼
$79
21 days of unlimited studio access
+ a discounted membership offer available at the end of your trial 🙌

For more fine print and to purchase, visit our website or search Hip Hop Yoga on the mindbody app.

Reach out if you have any questions 🫶🏽

We can’t wait to meet you!

Peace + love ✌️🩷

Presenting WIP Live’s eighth evening of live work in progress by Alex Dobson and Greta Wallace-Crabbe Miller.

Date
Wednesday 30 September
6-8pm

Address
Upstairs, 1b Marine Parade, Abbotsford

Alex Dobson

I Just Ride stretches time and attention through strange emphases and very slow, but not restful, movements – remaining in the uncomfortable long enough for something unexpected to surface. Alex’s work develops methods of dancing whilst managing the symptoms of acquired chronic illness.

Free Lighthouse Tours - Point Lowly.
A guided tour - through space and time - to the Point Lowly Lighthouse, SA.

I am a tour guide,
I guide people to the light house,
today I will take you to the light house.

Military and extractive industries operating in, so called, south australia benefit from the rhetoric that this state is barren. This lie allowed for nuclear testing to be conducted on Maralinga people and their country only 70 years ago. Now a mass marine mortality impacts 20,000 km of coastline, and is largely ignored by global news cycles. On this tour we will walk together, traversing landscapes of industry, contamination and cuttlefish, algal bloom and lesbian ghosts.

WIP Live is an evening curated by Quality and Sofie McClure for artists to share something raw and in-process; a space to test ideas, meet new collaborators, and grow something over time. As the audience, you are invited to watch and absorb and share your experience and reflections with the group after each performance.

Sometimes the greatest acts of kindness are the quiet ones ✨🫶🏽

The unexpected text or phone call.
The friend who notices you’ve been a little quiet.

In yoga, there’s the idea of sangha, the community that walks alongside you. It’s a reminder that we’re not meant to carry everything on our own. Healing, strength and resilience grow when we’re supported by others.

This week, we’d love to honour our sangha by paying that support forward.

Think of someone who could use a little extra care right now. Someone navigating grief, burnout, loneliness, new parenthood, illness, or simply a season that feels heavier than they’re letting on.

Nominate them 🙏🏾

We’ll quietly gift one person a month of unlimited yoga.

There will be no public announcement.
Just one small act of kindness from one human to another.

Because sometimes the greatest gift isn’t the yoga itself….

It’s knowing that someone thought of you.

If someone came to mind while reading this, trust that feeling.

Leave their name with us by dropping an email or sending us a private message telling us why you’d love to nominate them 🙏🏾💕

Life moves pretty fast. We finish class, pack up our things, and head off to the next thing.

This week, we’re slowing down for just a minute.

Before you leave, write down one good thing about today and pin it to our community board.

Then read a few notes from someone else.

You never know whose words you might need, or who might need yours 🫶🏽
