🎬💃 AFDA student by day, international dance champion by night.

AFDA Cape Town third-year Motion Picture student Alexa Keira Julies recently represented South Africa at the Dance Star World Finals in Croatia, competing against dancers from 23 countries while balancing the demands of her studies in Character Design and Styling and Production Design.

As a member of both Inferno and Basic Black, Alexa helped secure outstanding international results:

🥈 Inferno – 2nd Place, Urban Group Seniors (A-League)
🥇 Basic Black – 1st Place, Commercial Seniors Formations (A-League) + Best Urban Choreography
🥉 Twin Flames – 3rd Place, Commercial Duo/Trio/Quartet Seniors (A-League)

Between lectures, production shoots and late-night rehearsals, Alexa demonstrated the dedication, discipline and creative excellence that define AFDA students.

"None of this would have been possible without my parents, who have supported both my passions in film and dance every step of the way."

Congratulations, Alexa, on representing South Africa and showcasing what it means to pursue creativity without limits. 🌍✨
