my time with the rome band is over and being a part of this it has been one of the greatest joys of my life! there’s so many ways i could describe what it means to me but that wouldn’t do it justice. so, instead i’ll say thank you. thank you to everyone who has been a part of the band family for making me feel loved and welcome. thank you to my parents (and nate) for supporting me in every way and for never missing a show. thank you to the directors for believing in me and for teaching me more than just how to play music and march. you’ve taught me hardwork, leadership, and dedication but also how to have fun while doing it. thank you to this year’s clarinet section for allowing me to lead you and to previous year’s clarinet section for preparing me. you all are wonderful people and i’m so grateful to know you! thank you to my sister, taylor, for sharing this experience with me. i will cherish the memories we’ve made forever. thank you jesus for giving me this opportunity and for giving me the strength i needed to continue when i was exhausted. i truly couldn’t have done it without you!! thank you to everyone who has made this program feel like home, i’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished together! it’s surreal to me that i’ll never perform with this band again. sound of the seven hills, thank you for letting me be a part of your legacy! 🤍🎶
