The techno I love to play and improvise with the @rolandglobal TR-8S! 🔥❤️

It’s been quite a while now since I started playing with this machine, and I still get so much pleasure from it because I can take the music wherever I want. It just flows! No paper, no notes, only the feeling. Being able to play without preparing a live set minute by minute is something big for me. It took me more than 2 years and countless hours to learn to let go and trust myself. Of course, we all work differently, and there’s nothing wrong with preparing a live set. For me, it was about breaking free from my own limitations. I used to overthink so much that sometimes I ended up doing nothing at all! 😂

By practicing every day and taking things slowly, I learned to know the machine by heart and developed my own technique. At first, I played for 5 minutes, then 10, 20, 45 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, until I finally achieved a 3h30 marathon! 🎃 Whenever I found a cool combination of steps and sounds, I would write it down, rewatch my videos and understand what made that part so good. Eventually, I started remembering patterns by heart and improvising around them.

Then I wanted to go further! I started experimenting with samples from Splice, choosing my own sounds and creating the exact vibe I wanted instead of relying only on the built-in samples. That’s when a whole new world opened up! 🔥

Today, when I listen to a track and hear a repeating sound or gimmick, I can almost see the numbers lighting up on my TR-8S. I count the steps in my head and visualize where they belong on the sequencer. And man, realizing how far I’ve come makes me want to keep pushing! ❤️

Practice, trust yourself and most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Different mix. Different vibe. Same wild energy. 🔥

A deeper, dub-infused take on my track “She Danced Wild” — made for those who feel the groove and let the music take control.
