What a year.

A little over a year ago, the kids lost their dad.

As a mom, there is nothing harder than not being able to protect your children from something that hurt that much.

We kept going.

Together.

These kids are so fucking resilient. I’ve watched them walk through unimaginable pain and still laugh, love, grow, and hold each other up.

I am so proud of them.

This year tested all of us, but it also showed me just how much love exists inside this family.

It showed me how strong they are.

How much they love each other.

And how lucky I am to have a husband who has stood beside me through all of it.

We’ve carried each other when one of us couldn’t stand on our own. He’s my best friend, my safe place, and the person I want beside me through all of it. ❤️

There were hard lessons too. People we expected to be there who weren’t, and family members who made decisions without considering them — decisions that will affect them for years.

Some things just can’t be undone.

But I don’t want to give the hard parts more space than they deserve.

Because what this year really showed me is how much we have.

The kids have each other.

They have us.

And they have some incredible people who stayed, showed up, and continue to love them.

Our circle may be smaller, but there is so much love inside it.

After everything this year has brought, I am more grateful than ever.

For my husband.

For these six incredible human beings.

For the people who stayed.

For the way we keep choosing each other.

This year changed us. But more than anything, it showed me just how strong, close, and full of love this family really is.

I couldn’t be more proud.

Or more grateful to call them mine. ❤️
