In honor of the MLB Draft, thought I’d share my pictures from UCF’s last home series against Kansas State back in May (I totally didn’t forget 🫣)

Though baseball is not my beat anymore (rip), here’s some updates from the draft for the Knights:

Andrew Williamson, outfielder, was drafted as pick 68 in round 2 by St. Louis Cardinals. This makes him the programs highest pick since 2004 when Matt Fox was drafted by the Twins.

Though Braden Smith, right-handed pitcher, had a season ending injury in April, he was pick 440 during round 15, heading over to the Baltimore Orioles.

John Smith III, outfielder, is the final Knight to be drafted, selected in round 19 as pick 570, heading to the New York Mets.

Though not drafted, Camden Wicker, right-handed pitcher, signed a free agent contract with the Baltimore Orioles.
