𝓑𝓮𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓢𝔀𝓪𝓶𝓹[𝓮𝓭] is a new series of site-specific performative lectures situated in cities built on swamps.

For this first iteration, I explored Berlin’s swampy origins tracing the city’s centuries of drainage, water regulation and infrastructural attempts to make its wet, unstable ground stable and solid. Invited by the imaginary 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘸𝘢𝘮𝘱 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴 the project moves between historical research, hydrofeminism, sound and bodily transformation, dissolving the academic body into a muddy, glitching creature, thinking through porosity and our obsession with measuring, controlling and categorising everything that refuses to stay still.

After 16 years of good records, drinks and dances Wowsville says Goodbye to Berlin!

We want to thank everybody who made this possible all these years - sharing music and making memories.

We will be open the next couple weeks as usual and closing out with a huge 24 hour party on Halloween weekend. More details coming soon.

Wowsville started as a record store in New York in 1999, it is not dead just onto its next chapter and possibly it’s next home in a new city. Keep an eye here for updates.

did you know berlin was built on a swamp? i’ll tell you more about this and my swamp research on porosity, hydrofeminism, muddiness and the obsession of modernism to measure the world and categorize everything into stable categories in the first rehearsal of the performative lecture i’ve been cooking in Berlin.

served with bites by @___eat_me_out___ inspired by the murky, slimy, muddy textures of the landscapes i’ve been obsessing with.

Plašč sva z @mataamatija testirala za prepoznavanje, v veliki meri uspešno (!!!) z grad camom, ki ga je zame ustvaril po coco bazi podatkov
