Lovely to meet you 🥰

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Pax Aus is only a week away

& since I dropped a bombshell that I'm no longer able to come this year due to a lot of issues from home & from work I want to take an opportunity to share some posts from October of 2022 which is one of my favourite moments for 2022 by meeting those amazing peeps as well as @hannah__maree_ @eightbitbeanzie @m3lzii6 & @rangacorn 🥹

I also met others too like @joshgoree_ @ms.sakura.bunny @tufsig_collects & @leftyslair but I didn't do a selfie with them 😅🤷🏻

So being surrounded by my friends on Insta... no - surrounded by my fam on Insta including those I still haven't met in real life yet I couldn't be any happier 🥹

So a huge thank you for all your support 🙏🏻

Zach Cregger (Weapons, Barbarian) is back in the directing helm for this much-needed reboot of cinema-Resident Evil.

And now that the review embargo has lifted, I can finally say:
WHAT A HOOT!!
If you can - skip the trailers - they give away a fair chunk of the best moments, and frame it as full blown horror.

Which, it kinda is. There’s some fantastically repulsive monster design here. But the whole film is also very, VERY funny.

When we think of all time great comedy-horrors, the pool is small: Evil Dead, Ready or Not, Tucker & Dale, etc.
Resident Evil puts forth a very convincing case to be on the list.

A focused, stripped-back romp through a decaying world. Folks are gonna love this. I don’t have too much knowledge of the games (2 spooky 4 lukey) so coming in pretty fresh, but if this sets the vibe/standard for future RE films, consider me sat.

Crochet 🤝 Cross stitch

I was working on a tapestry version of this and honestly, it was looking just plain awful. So I taught myself how to cross stitch and I am in LOVE!!! 🥹 Don’t be shocked to see more crochet x cross stitch in the future on my feed 😂

Go go support Australian made games! 🦘

One of the most anticipated Aussie games launches today, and I'm super keen to finally see @gogotowngame release on Nintendo Switch.

A delightful alternative to Animal Crossing and The Sims, with a focus on town-building and automation with a TONNE of customisation. The game also features local and online co-op, which worked flawlessly on Switch 2. 💯

The developers, Prideful Sloth, are genuinely some of the nicest game devs in existence. So if you're looking for your next cosy game addiction, show them your support and pick up Go-Go Town!

New Hobby Alert ‼️ Brush Pen Practice 🖊️

Along with my wax seal obsession, I decided to return to brush pen/calligraphy as well! With that, I found the easiest way to practice was to design a project for myself - a handwritten Pokédex 🥰

They’re absolutely out of order as I’m using stickers I already own, but I’m having so much fun!

What Pokemon should be added next? 👀

THE @cassiedakota came to visit our game wall! 🎮
Always a pleasure to have pals come see the collection in person - Cassie flew all the way from Tokyo just for us, and it’s huuuugely appreciated. Honestly, it was almost surreal to be hanging out all together in person again. Good egg. 🥚

TY again Cassie for coming! We will no doubt see you again v soon. ☺️✨

How cute is this li’l crochet Prince that @_atrinity / @koinikkii made me!! From one of my fav game series ever: KATAMARI DAMACY!
Was also v thrilled last year when we got the first new Katamari entry in over a decade: Once Upon A Katamari. Picked up the PS5 physical from trusty ol @vgp_videogamesplus and played through upon (heh!) arrival - what a joy to be back rolling up colourful objects while listening to Japan’s version of scat-jazz-pop. 🌈

🏆 𝗚𝗘𝗘𝗞'𝗦 𝗚𝗬𝗠 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦 🏆

I asked 2 questions to some of my friends :

1. If you were a gym leader, what type of Pokémon would you use?

2. What would be your team of 3 Pokémon?

And you? Which team would you NOT want to battle? 🤔
