What is opacity in film editing? It’s an effect that lets you take the intensity of an image and fade it to the point that it blends into the scene to make it match. That may not be the technical term but that’s basically what does. It really makes all the difference when dealing with premade VFX in your indie movie. If you have the money it’s always better to get an expert but at least you can do it yourself like I had too. These are two clips from my short movies the Afternoon Club and The Academy demonstrating its use with smoke effects. Great cameos from @thejudahbuddha @jay._train @ballet199 @_avakaras @maddie_pivonka @tommy_montgo @jackbaughiv @shorts__stories__ shot by @bradyloughrinfilm sound @bobylohatfilmproductions for the academy.

If you’ve ever taught anything you know how this feels! Whether you were the student or the teacher. I wanted this scene to demonstrate how strict some of my teachers were. But for the comedy movie I definitely wanted it to be over the top and @thejudahbuddha delivered! @maddie_pivonka probably drew from experience here. Reactions are great from @_avakaras @jay._train @ballet199 as always kudos to the crew

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the Musical: Curtain Call (7/11/2026)

I finally saw one of the first musicals that I got introduced to in 2019-2020 thanks to @gmg.productions and let me tell you it was great, scrumdiddlyumtious and better than Broadway and the previous US National Tours! It was amazing and heartfelt in every moment (especially in the ending). Even though they cut “You Got What’cha Want” Violet’s new demise exit song introduced in the UK Tour replacing “Juicy” from the West End prod I still enjoyed “When Willy Met Oompa” and the projections make the sets feel complete and also I love how the tour added modern pop-culture references in some of the lyrics (like online, labubus and airdrop) to make this show feel refreshing for new audiences who are seeing this show for the first time. So 100% recommend if you want a show to watch with the whole family or love the original story by Roald Dahl. I give this 10/10 Wonka Bars 🍫

And for those who are sitting in the orchestra center sorry for being too loud 😬✌️

They say as we grow up, we lose our sense of wonder. But stepping into The Theatre at Solaire last night felt like finding a golden ticket straight back to pure, unfiltered imagination. ✨

Watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The New Musical wasn’t just about the nostalgia, it was a vivid, breathtaking reminder that there is still so much magic left in the world if we choose to see it. From the jaw-dropping staging to the incredible performances, every moment was a spectacular feast for the senses.

A massive thank you to GMG Productions for continuously raising the bar and bringing world-class theater experiences like this directly to the Philippines. You didn’t just bring a show; you brought a core memory for everyone in the audience. 🍫🇵🇭

If your soul needs a little lifting and your inner child needs a reason to smile, do yourself a favor and book those tickets. Bring your family, bring your friends, and get ready to be amazed. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this ride! 🎟️👇

So proud of the cast and crew! It’s so strange to be able to call yourself an award winning filmmaker but, I’ll take it! The Academy is a blown out of portion version of a classical ballet mixed with comedy and mystery! Zany, crazy and a good time! Even though we shot almost 2yrs ago it feels like i lived with these characters forever! Based my on experience as a professional dancer. Don’t forget the talent and crew @emilyderrickcreates @jaimester88 @thejudahbuddha @_avakaras @jay._train @maddie_pivonka @ballet199 @the.matt.maestro @big.wimpin @nicklovalvo @nbuonvicino @dannyjarquio @bradyloughrinfilm @bobylohatfilmproductions @bk_arthaus
