I GOT MY FIRST HATER 🍾 !!!!!!

it’s been interesting to see how my emotions have come and gone, and I’ve grown from them in this process of being an artist.

And through this process of growth, I’m proud to say that this did not phase me today … will it affect me tomorrow? Who knows

BUT I WANT TO KNOW IN THE COMMENTS WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE TO EXPRESS THEIR UNNEEDED HATE

Anyways, as I’ve explained earlier this week, this song is dear to my heart. There’s definitely a few mess ups in there, but I’m learning to just roll with it. It still sounds good and there’s a couple parts that had me screaming when I listened to it over again

Hope you enjoy. 😉

And let me know should this be on my album?

ITS 100 degrees in Charlotte rn (I KNOW IM SWEATING) but the first of my sunflowers started to bloom today. So I’m singin to my baby, mistakes and all lol 😊

Those of you who don’t understand or are questioning why I’m singing to my flower, I have prayed over these flowers for them to grow as I reach my goals, both spiritually emotionally and in my music career.

and then, there is the significance of the song choice

To everyone who’s been listening, sharing, and supporting my music… thank you. ❤️

For those of you who don’t know the story behind this song, I want to share a piece of my heart with you.

I wrote it during one of the darkest seasons of my life, while I was incarcerated as a teenager for three years. At that time, I was carrying so much hurt, confusion, and anger. Being adopted left me with questions I didn’t know how to answer, and I poured the emotions I had toward my biological mother into this song. Looking back now, I can honestly say some of those feelings were misplaced—but they were real to the younger version of me who was just trying to make sense of everything.

The song also reflects the abandonment I felt as I came face to face with a system that too often works against young Black men. It made me question my worth, my future, and whether my voice even mattered.

Music became the one place where I could tell the truth without fear. Every lyric is a piece of my healing, and every time you listen, you’re listening to a part of my journey.

all that pain produced something beautiful. Thank you for allowing my story to become part of yours.

Much love. 🤍
