It Is Well With My Soul, something that has been sitting with me for the past couple of months. It reminds us that peace doesn’t come from having a perfect life, it comes from trusting God in the middle of it. No matter how hard things get or how far gone you think you are, God is there calling you to run to Him, even on your worst days. His presence isn’t based on our perfection, but on the love He has for us. Last year, I was able to go on a mission to the Dominican Republic and experience life change and His Glory. It wasn’t long before I fell back into old habits and things of this world. But as Proverbs 27:17 says, “for the righteous falls seven times and rises again…” No matter how many times you fall, we are called to get back up. For so long I have put off his call to get back up and have drowned in the desires of my own heart rather than the desires of God. Even through all the hard moments and rough days, He forgives us. It is not what we deserve but through the Love and Grace of Jesus that we are made new. His mercy doesn’t run out, and it’s in that mercy that we find the strength to keep going. It was only in the past couple months that my chains have broken. My favorite verse that I live by is from Matthew 6, verse 33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” It is not about living for your flesh but setting your eyes on the one above and living for Him. I know I’m not perfect and I know that I will fall again, but it is through His forgiveness and Grace that sets me free and can set you free. So, wherever you are in your life no matter the severity. He will meet you where you are in life and accept you with open arms like he did for me. After recently going on another mission trip I realized how much someone’s impact can have on you. The way someone walks and lives for Christ is a true testament of His power and the transformation He brings in a person’s life. These past couple months have shown me how God can work through others to speak truth into your life and constantly be a light. I want to thank everyone for showing me what it is like to walk with Christ daily and be a light.

The Lord will provide. If I could leave you with one thing, it would be that “no one is too good for God’s grace and no one is too far gone for God’s grace.” Jesus just meets people where they are at. The amount of transformation I saw in lives this week was remarkable. Jesus saves. Thank you to all the people who made this trip so special and carry the light with them in all that they do.

Last year on this trip I gave my life to Christ. It’s been a year of ups and downs. There has been so many times that I fell on my face, but He picked me right back up. This year has been truly incredible and to see where Christ has brought the fellas and I is nothing but a testament to His character. For I was lost but my shepherd has found me and brought me home.

I have done a lot of things I’m not proud of, but graciously Christ forgives. I came into college with no thoughts about Christ or His plans for my life. I’m just a random kid from Overland Park, Kansas that somehow ended up in Oxford, Mississippi. I was so ready to join a fraternity thinking that the party lifestyle and “having fun” is what I needed to be happy. My life was all about what makes AB happy. But it just left me in a cycle that dug me deeper and deeper being unsatisfied. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to you realize that He is the rock at the bottom with you. I couldn’t be anymore confident that it was all apart of God’s plan for me to end up here despite me wanting nothing to do with Him.

I’m just one example of many of Christ’s forgiveness. No one is too far gone and no one is too good for Him. The things of this world do not truly satisfy and He has much greater plans than the ones we desire. True life comes when you humble yourself before Him and trust the plans He has for you. I am not perfect but I can dang well tell you that Christ has fully changed my life and can save anyone from the depths of this world. Wherever you stand today, Christ is right there with you waiting for you with open arms. Much love

Where do I even start? This trip to Costa Rica was a powerful reminder of Gods calling to love and serve others. I thought I was just going to help others by sharing the gospel and giving families a filter so they could have clean drinking water. But in many ways God used this experience to change my own heart. God met me where I was at and showed me the light while I was stuck in darkness. As we provided clean water to others God kept putting a verse on my heart. John 7:37-38, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” We were not just giving physical water yet we were sharing the hope of the living water that only Christ can provide. Faith is not just something we talk about in church or believe quietly. It is something meant to be lived out through love, sacrifice, and service. Beyond thankful to grow in my faith and serve others with such amazing people.

I have now had the honor of serving Jesus for a year now. Jesus met me in my sufferings, he drew near to the brokenhearted, and he remained faithful no matter how far I ran. I have had the honor of witnessing salvation, life change, and seeing all the fascinating ways God moves in the lives of those around me. Jesus has come to open up the eyes of the blind, to heal the sick, and more importantly bring eternal life to his children. Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” He tells us we are all in the same, we are all broken, we have all done wrong, and we all share in our need for Jesus. Mark 2:17 tells us “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those are who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” Although we don’t deserve it, Jesus being rich in his mercies has overcome the world in order to save us. Jesus came to suffer with us, he came to wash your feet, he came to show you that you are not alone. Psalm 46:1 says “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in our trouble.” He desires for you to allow him to draw near and to stop pushing him away. It is so often that subtle voice in our head that we so often silence where God tries to meet with us, and we so badly try to push him away. But God never fails to continue to pursue you, and you are never going to be to far. You are in a moment having fallen short time and time again, having been led astray and living in consistent disobedience where God is calling you home. Where you feel the furthest from God, He is the closest to you. Telling you that now is the time to turn to him. 2 Corinthians 6:1 says to us, “In a favorable time I have listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the favorable time; Behold now is the day of salvation.” Stop running and let today be the day of salvation. Jesus loves you and he died so that you may have life. Read your bible, Love God above all else, and love your neighbor as yourself.

Let my life be a sacrifice to You Lord. Jesus, you are so worth it!

“How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring the good news!” Romans 10:15

I share this experience to show how the Lord is moving and how He is touching hearts and changing lives. I do not share for my own personal gain. YET NOT I, BUT CHRIST IN ME!!!
