As we go into our last ever tryout, I wanted to take a trip down memory lane. Since walking into this gym 10 years ago, it immediately became home for both Kaelyn and me.
If you’re part of cheer, you know the sacrifices this sport comes with. There’s really no offseason, it takes up most of your time, and it can be expensive. But the lessons it teaches, the memories you make, and the friendships you build outweigh all of it.
Over the years, there have been plenty of disappointments, mental blocks, and heartbreaks, but there have also been memories Kaelyn and I will never forget. We will always be grateful we walked into this gym on a random Tuesday.
Before we can close the book, we have to write the final chapter…
