There are so many opinions out there about what you should and shouldn’t do when becoming a mom. It’s easy to get caught up in the pressure of it all. But I’m convinced there is no one better than Jesus to give you confidence in the decisions you make for your family. He brings clarity to those decisions and personalizes the path He has for you.

When I became a campus pastor, I was seven months pregnant. I didn’t know what maternity leave would look like, so I took it one week at a time. And each week, He gave me the grace I needed. He’s still doing that.

I’m learning that I can do both. I’ve slowly stepped back into work, bringing Mercy along with me, and learning to do it without guilt. I can be a mom, be present with my baby, and do ministry—and genuinely love it. Not every day is perfect, but we dance, we figure it out, and we give ourselves grace along the way.

I’m so grateful for the incredible people who love my kids and help make Sundays a win for our family.

Grateful to carry the call of doing both. 🤍

@_belenbaca_ is now a student @northwestu and the third Baca kid to make it their college home. We know she is going to absolutely thrive there! Praying over you, baby girl. We know you’ll have a blast, make lifelong friends and experience God in a new and powerful way! We love you and are already proud of you.
