Five Panthers. One Standard. One Unforgettable Legacy. 🐾🇺🇸 Congratulations to our Peninsula Boys Water Polo student-athletes for earning NISCA All-American Honors, one of the highest individual recognitions in high school water polo. This achievement is a testament to the countless hours of hard work, sacrifice, discipline, and commitment each athlete has invested in our program. We are incredibly proud to celebrate August Medrano (’26) – Second Team, Benson Webster (’26) – Second Team, Kennedy Leongkaye (’26) – Fourth Team, Michael Yang (’26) – Fourth Team, and Aiden Gallego (’27) – Third Team. Four senior honorees will prepare for the next chapter at Pomona College, Grand Canyon University, Purdue University, and UC San Diego, and Aiden returns to lead the Panthers as one of our captains. Their accomplishments continue to raise the standard for everyone who wears the black and gold. Congratulations, Panthers! Your legacy has left its mark on Peninsula Water Polo, and we’re excited to see what comes next. One Team. One Standards. Panther Pride. Always. 🐾💛🖤🇺🇸

Panthers, alumni, and friends, This isn’t a goodbye—just a temporary change in scenery. I wanted to share that I will be teaching at Ridgecrest Intermediate School next school year while continuing to coach water polo at Peninsula High School. This change comes as part of district enrollment adjustments. Like any change, this transition came as a surprise, but I’ve chosen to embrace it as an opportunity to continue growing as an educator. In many ways, Ridgecrest feels like coming home. As a former Ridgecrest student, it has always held a special place in my heart, and I’m excited to return and give back to a school that helped shape who I am today. While I’ll be spending my school days at Ridgecrest, I’ll still be around Peninsula and on the pool deck, helping our Panthers grow and compete. So if you see me around campus or at the pool, don’t be a stranger. Come say hello! Thank you all for your continued support. I look forward to this next chapter while continuing to be part of the Panther family. Once a Panther, always a Panther.

As the swim season draws to a close I can’t help but feel an overwhelming amount of gratitude for my teammates and coaches who made this year what it was. 4 years on water polo and 3 on swim, I honestly can’t believe it’s coming to an end. These sports have seen me grow over the past 8 years and through these water sports I’ve met some of my closest friends and shared some of the most memorable experiences. I love you guys and thank you for making the past 4 as incredible as they were. #12 out @pvphs.swim @pvphs_bwp 🤽‍♂️🏊‍♂️
