Feeling playful, yet timeless, colors inspired by the 60s are making their way back into kitchens. Think mustard yellow, lacquer reds and moody oxblood. Feeling comforting and nostalgic, these retro hues are coming back to our kitchens in a more refined way to work for now.

I’m delighted to share that my home is featured in @theworldofinteriors

Over the past three years, I’ve had enormous fun filling my Georgian flat with the fruits of a lifetime of collecting, from auction-room discoveries and charity-shop treasures to paintings, porcelain and the occasional gloriously impractical piece of furniture. It’s become something of a scrapbook of all the things that inspire me, and very much an extension of my work as an artist and designer.

Beautifully photographed by @_beth_davis and brought to life in words by @luxfordinteriors, who has managed to make some sense of my rather eclectic approach to decorating!

You can read the full article, wonderfully titled Top of the Fops, via the link in my bio.

Thank you to @mimi_berry_england for sharing these wonderful photos from her shoot in August at the house. Lots of lovely details, bits I’ve collected, carpentry by Rocky Alvarez, some work in progress and the finished glitchy screen! 💙

A dreamy, clutter-free kitchen doesn’t just happen by accident!

If you want a storage setup where everything has its place, start by thinking about what you actually use and where. Group items by the ‘zone’ they belong in, then consider how often you reach for them – everyday essentials should be easy to access, while occasional-use items can be tucked further away. This will help you work out what storage you need and where.

✔️ The Gilbo bag in soft oiled leather with a luxurious smooth finish.

The nature of this Italian leather means that the curved pouch-like shape collapses and slouches, sitting comfortably on the body and taking on a different silhouette according to how much you carry.

Currently in stock in Steel Navy and Chocolate with Red returning in November.

If you love this particular leather surface, then look out for the rectangular Ives Tote arriving very soon in classic tones with an additional (and rather special colourway)…Butter 🧈

We’re revisiting this beautiful Georgian townhouse kitchen 🤍

Designed by @mark_lewis_i_d and captured by @_beth_davis, it’s a forever fixture on our inspo board. We can’t get enough of the brick fireplace, reclaimed Spanish tiles, and the drawers and cabinets crafted from salvaged lab tables.
