🎣 FIVE STRAIGHT! 🎣

Today at the Bassmaster College National Championship pre-tournament briefing, Blake Bullock was recognized for an incredible accomplishment — qualifying for his 5th consecutive Bassmaster College National Championship!

Blake, a recent graduate of Blue Mountain Christian University, has earned his master’s degree in Business while establishing himself as a standout angler both on and off the water.

Five straight championships is an incredible achievement and a testament to Blake’s hard work, dedication, and consistency. We couldn’t be more proud of all he has accomplished as a student, an angler, and a representative of BMCU.

Congratulations, Blake! We are proud to call you a Topper!

Blue Mountain Christian University is proud to have three teams competing this week in the Bassmaster College National Championship on Leech Lake in Walker, Minnesota!

These six anglers have earned their place on the national stage through hard work, determination, and strong performances throughout the season.

🎣 Blake Bullock & Caden Alexander
This team punched their ticket to the National Championship back in February on Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Texas. They’ve continued to put in the work, and now they’re ready to represent BMCU on the biggest stage!

🎣 Clayton Ellis & Chandler Howell
They earned their spot in the championship in April on Kerr Reservoir in Oklahoma. We’re excited to see what this talented duo can accomplish on Leech Lake!

🎣 Waylin Hardison & Sawyer Brady
This team also qualified on Kerr Reservoir, earning their opportunity to compete for a national championship.

Waylin will be competing solo this week while Sawyer completes his training at the police academy. After graduation, Sawyer accepted a position with the Florence, Alabama Police Department. We are incredibly proud of Sawyer and grateful for his commitment to serving his community. 🇺🇸

Competition begins Thursday, with the full field competing for two days. Following Friday’s competition, the Top 10 teams in the standings will advance to Saturday’s final day of competition.

To Blake, Caden, Clayton, Chandler, Waylin, and Sawyer — congratulations on earning your place in the Bassmaster College National Championship! We are proud to have you represent Blue Mountain Christian University and wish you the very best on Leech Lake!

And to everyone who supports our fishing program — our families, fans, university, sponsors, and friends — THANK YOU! Your support means more than you know and helps make opportunities like this possible.

**Let’s go, Toppers! **

This past week at the ACA National Championship on Pickwick marked the end of a chapter on my college fishing career. We had a decent first day with 17.77. We went swinging the second and came up two fish short of a limit. Overall it was a great week of fishing. The memories I have made in college fishing are some that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. College fishing has allowed me to meet some incredible people and friends along the way. It all started because Coach Shane Cox took a chance on a kid from Lexington TN. Without the opportunity he gave me I would have missed out on the best 5 years of my life. I’m forever grateful for my lord and savior Jesus Christ, my family, and friends for pushing me to be better and presenting me with so many blessings. I sit back and reflect on how my life would have been so much different if I didn’t have the opportunity to fish In college. I encourage anyone who is considering going to college to fish that they need to take the opportunity. It’s the best decision that you could ever make. I’m looking forward to one last national championship next year. As for now I sit and reflect on all of the memories and friends I have made along the way! Life is all about taking chances. You never know how impactful one decision could be on your life. Make those decisions count!

ACA National Championship at Pickwick. Started off strong with 24.25 on Day 1 and had us sitting in 3rd. We tried to make a run at the win on Day 2, but a couple tough breaks had us bringing in 17.55 and dropping to 8th. Even though we couldn’t seal the deal and bring it home I still had a blessed week on the water with a great friend! Congratulations to the boys @chowell_fishing and @cteoutdoors1 for finishing 5th!!!

Grateful for a blessed weekend at the Bill Dance Giant Bass Open on Pickwick Lake.
I had the chance to fish it with my little cousin Hayden, and we were fortunate enough to cash several checks throughout the tournament. I was also blessed to win one of the hours with a 7.51 stud, and Hayden even won two hours himself!
It was an awesome weekend on the water and great memories made. Looking forward to the next one!
