LETS CHAT!

Please join us for our session discussing AI in our creative community, open to all.

Hosted by @baikaal and Courtney from @_bloomcreativestudio_ / @_creativeheartsclub. We will be delivering an introductory short presentation, and then offer a chaired discussion for artists, by artists.

There is no pressure to come and talk, please feel free to join us and listen, and be part of it however suits you. We hope to encourage a welcoming, respectful environment and support a discussion that our community can share, learn, and build from.

A few weeks ago, I had a conversation that left me thinking about the many things I have learnt from working with people over the last five years.

Some pretty cool stuff I think, and all equally important in helping me and my business, but as there have been so many, these 10 are the first that came to mind:

1. To love (and recognise) the many different fonts and design rules that are available, and there are A LOT! - @ange_lyons

2. Sending videos modelling what you would like people to do can can avoid a lot of time being wasted - @_courtneyfarrow

4. The importance of following up on old customer service customers - @wearebreedera

5. How the fine detail is just as important as the big stuff - @wordstitchedits

6. That holding space is just as valued as the tasks themselves- @designedbyten

7. That you are never alone, there will always be someone who gets you - @thelucydavies & @mizzle_88 .

8. That people can support you even if they no longer work beside you - @katewhitleyonline

9. When people trust you and leave you to get on with the task, it helps build your confidence x100 - @lisaemmington @nikkipilkington

10. Listening is one of the most important jobs I can do. - Every Single client I have had gets the credit for that one 🤣

Oh, and a bonus lesson is - receiving a simple thank you or I appreciate you can mean the world.

Now, of course, I have learned many other things over the years because they bring new platforms, new business models, new processes and each time I will pick up a new knowledge base or skill, but this post can’t fit 5 years’ worth into the character count, so...

To all my clients, past, present, and future, thank you. I appreciate you. 😀

Ive always had a passion.
A passion for two key areas - the love of designing & creating jewellery 👩🏼‍🎨
and the love of helping people find a confident happiness by being creative 💫

Since 2018 with the arrival of our HMJ creative workshops, my aim was always to merge these two passions together.

Here at HMJ, we focus to make sure that every person feels welcomed, seen, heard, valued, loved and supported.

Sometimes you’ve got to create what you want to be a part of.

And so that’s just what I did ☁️

As always, a huge thank you to everyone who popped down to our May Meetup at @hsgcafe / @humberstreetgallery. ❤️

Glorious weather, delicious drinks and snacks and a brilliant atmosphere.

We know it’s not been an easy ride for creatives, freelancers and small business owners lately.

But, as we all gathered underneath the gallery’s ginormous glitterball, conversations sparked new ideas and opportunities for collaboration.

A big thank you to Lucy and Ruby for hosting us at their beautiful space in @fruitmarkethull.

We can’t wait to be back in July.

Sign up for our next dates via the link in our bio.

Thanks @humberstreetgallery / @hsgcafe for hosting us again last week!

Creative Hearts was in its very very early stages this time last year, with Courtney and Emilie chatting online about wanting to feel more connected with other creative people in Hull and the surrounding areas.

Little did we know, how much CHC would resonate with you lot - and it truly is YOU LOT who have made this community thrive and feel so welcoming. ❤️❤️❤️
