Today I had the opportunity to connect with experienced referees as I continue building my basketball officiating career. πŸ€πŸ This summer, I was blessed with the opportunity to referee a lot of games, gain valuable experience, andβ€”most importantlyβ€”build meaningful relationships along the way. Today was also about showing love and support to Suzie and Jarrick! I’ve had the opportunity to play alongside Jarrick with his FDNY international team, so it was great reconnecting and meeting more of the essential workers who show up day in and day out to serve and protect New York City. πŸš’πŸ—½ I have a tremendous amount of respect for Jarrick and his journey. Making the decision to step away from playing overseas while still finding a way to fuel his passion for basketball at a different capacity says a lot. The game may look different now, but the passion is still there. πŸ’―πŸ€ And today… they absolutely DESTROYED Australia. πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ I almost felt bad for them. πŸ˜… #BasketballReferee #RefereeLife #FDNYBasketball #BasketballFamily #buildingrelationships
