2. The Seven Year Slip: So many people have talked about this book, so I have to read this. If I don’t like it, I am blaming @aaru_is_reading @_booksagsm

3. Luv Shuv in New York: Indianness in books is my favourite genre. I am currently reading this and I am liking it 💝

4. Bride: I am not sure if I am gonna read this one. Let’s hope for the best 🤞

PS: Life is going through a rough patch these days. I am not able to post regularly and when I post, I am not posting on my usual time. Please bear with me and engage to my posts

Nothing like what I expected. ( Read more 👇🏽)

Tbh, I don't know what I was expecting. But as soon as I got this book, I started reading. The title intrigued me, and soon I was flipping through pages. If it wasn't for work, I would have read it in one go.

It's a page-turner. And a warm read.

While the storyline is nothing unique. And I could almost predict what was going to happen next; the author's take on these emotions and the way he represented them is what makes it a heartwarming read.

All the Characters are loveable, and you can sympathise with them; no matter what circumstances lead them to do, you will find out that you don't hate them. Rather, you'd be rooting for them.

The writing style is simple and it flows and blends pretty nicely, making it a short and comfortable read.

Overall if you like a story, where the characters are entangled in each other's lives and impact their decisions and choices without being directly related to them, small world encounters, family secrets, social issues like caste differences and pregnancy out of wedlock, lookalike, Family feuds, platonic love, drug addiction, and recovery. You must read this book.

I made Black tea just as Savitri would do 🤭

#qotd if life give you chance to travel, which planet or star you like to travel too..?

Review:
This short story opens an interesting world in the future where maybe time-space-travel might be possible.
The writing is excellent. I loved how the narrative linked up between the past and the present, baton-passing with themes. A scientist is stranded on a foreign planet, her colleagues in kryo-state and she tries to create a bubble in time and space to travel and get help. I didn't get all the scientific references but they sounded solid. The whole story has a very short and open ending but I would like to read more about it.

Consequently, I think I missed quite a bit of how the science and theology ideas linked up. I wished there had been a bit more depth to the character interaction so that I could have at least understood them better, especially when there's a mystery past that's hinted at. In flashbacks, we get a bit of insight in the novelty of her work and her personality.
