Sometimes we become so focused on the details of our lives that we forget to zoom out and see the bigger picture. Last night did that for me.
.
Standing in the badlands surrounded by a landscape shaped over millions of years it’s hard not to feel a sense of humility. The land has witnessed so much change and just evolves what it’s meant to become over time. There’s something reassuring in that. And then there were the horses… 🐎

.
I’ve always admired them for their sensitivity and ability to be both powerful and gentle souls for a long time. They don’t respond to what we say about ourselves they respond to who we actually are stripper down to our energy and aura. They remind us to be kind, slow down, and grounded. When I looked around at the talent who came together for this shoot, the horses + crew, the landscape, historic site, the creative team, and the community that made it all possible I felt incredibly grateful. Not just for the images we created but for the life we’ve built around creating them. A career that has allowed me to meet remarkable people tell meaningful stories, explore beautiful places, and witness moments I never could have planned for when I was younger. It’s easy to focus on where we’re trying to go. But sometimes the real gift is pausing long enough to appreciate where we’ve already arrived. Last night was one of those moments for me and a reminder that creativity is rarely a solo pursuit. It lives in community. In collaboration. In trust. In people showing up and sharing their gifts. And for that I’m deeply grateful
