Masterclass @originiedizioni "The Artist Photobook The Making Of"

September 7–12, 2026

During this six-day Masterclass, we shared our knowledge and craftsmanship with the participants, exploring how to turn a body of work into a handmade artist photobook.

Six days of learning, making and creating, and the photobooks are now finished.

A special thank you to Matilde, Ilias and Daphne, and to all the participants for making this Masterclass so special.

Texture, color, pattern, durability, touch.

Selecting the perfect fabric is so much more than picking a pretty sample. It’s letting our expertise guide the selection knowing that we have considered our clients lifestyle, the needs and use of the piece being upholstered while bringing both visual and tactile interest into every layer of the home.

I’ve skied over 600 days on the @volklskis Mantra line. I wholeheartedly recommend them to any good skier. I also recommend you read this before you buy a pair. The right fit is 🔑

Early bird catches the… skis! 🐛 😉

My scholarly advice? Your back-to-school checklist should shortly be followed by your back-to-ski checklist.

Is there any new gear you need? Boots? Jacket? Helmet or goggles? Is there any new gear your family needs? Kids sizing up or leveling up, requiring new equipment? Secondarily (and arguably more fun), is there any new gear you want? Perhaps it’s time to finally add those dedicated carving skis to your quiver or invest in a high tech shell for your burgeoning backcountry adventures?

I know the @volklskis @markerproducts and @dalbelloboots websites just dropped their 26/27 lineup (whoop whoop!), and their junior products sellout especially fast. @hellyhansen also continues to add more winter staples every day as fall hiking (my favorite!) and ski season ramp up.

The same goes for booking your winter ski trip. Far better to be ahead of the curve, preferably setting the curve— otherwise you might just miss out. Many destinations, like my home resort @deervalleyresort, require planning months in advance.

This is also a great time to scope deals or chat with booking agents about your options— while there still are options. If buying new gear isn’t in the cards, I completely understand— make sure to check out your local ski teams and stores for sales or swaps on last years’ new or lightly used gear 🙌.

It’s all happening, so don’t be the kid running in late. The result of procrastination won’t just be the sting of a bad grade, it will be the disappointment of seeing “sold out”, then having to pivot to your second (third?) choice or waiting until next year. Be the star student and get on your “homework”—or maybe it’s more of a wishlist—early!

Am I the Too Hot Lady?

Not in the way Kool and the Gang mean, but in a very practical, temperature-related way, yes, yes I am.

I am the lady that at least once a summer after a big run is asked, “Are you okay?” by a concerned onlooker. My face gets very flushed in the heat, then add in my own exertion and it literally blooms bright red.

I love the changing seasons and at times adore the heat, especially when a cold, watery reprieve is near, but ultimately my body yearns for cooler temps and snowy skies.

If, like me, you’re a winter baby at heart, try to enjoy these hot weeks, and do your best to revel in the heat.

Lean into the flushed cheeks, cold drinks, and long days of summer. As I get older it all becomes abundantly clear: it’s all precious.

One season just has more back sweat ❤️
