KAPA Repertory Theatre has announced six additional performers joining ANNIE, running November 19–22 at the Ralph J. Houghton Performance Center.

KC Lyphout, Leyla Eames and CeCe Lampa will appear as The Boylan Sisters, while also taking on featured ensemble tracks throughout the production. Lyphout, who will additionally serve as Dance Captain, has performed with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s Second Company, Mutual Dance Theatre and the international tour of The Thorn. Eames, an Institute of the Arts Barcelona graduate, is a singer, actor and dancer with credits including Once Upon a Mattress, Hello, Dolly!, School of Rock and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Emerson College BFA graduate Lampa’s credits include Head Over Heels, The Prom, Hello, Dolly! and recent work with Chicago Children’s Theatre.

Aaron Kohlmeier will take on the role of charismatic radio personality Bert Healy, returning after memorable KAPA REP appearances in Stuart Little, as the maniacal Orin Scrivello in Little Shop of Horrors, and as Mr. Bucket in last season’s Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka.

Carson Skalbeck, a Kenosha-based performer, accomplished athlete and KAPA alum, is excited to make his KAPA REP debut in ANNIE. His favorite past credits include Something Rotten! and West Side Story.

Finally recovered from an AMAZING week in Fire Island! 😍🌊🔥

I had the privilege of being part of the team that helped bring Pines Party to life this year, and WOW… what an experience! 💙 Thank you @mx.tonyboca for getting me in the door, and to all the staff and volunteers who made me feel like family. Seeing firsthand how much love, work, and passion goes into this event was incredible.

I worked hard, danced harder, met some amazing people, and made memories I’ll never forget. 🕺🔥 And having my bestie @n.a.t.a.l.i.a___ join the celebrations made the week even better! 🥰

Already hoping to be back next year — and for many more after that! What a family! 💙🌈✨

Celebrated the world premiere of @themanwillburn this past week @tribeca!

Working on this project was truly the greatest first experience in documentary filmmaking I could ever ask for. Endless thanks to @benjilanpher for bringing me on, and to the entire team for being the coolest, craziest people I got to call co-workers. (And now friends for life!)

Buckle up burners (and non-burners), we're rolling from deep playa on to HBO in July!

Last month, we had the honor of celebrating our high school theater director as she moves on to the next chapter of her journey. 📖

Reunited with talented friends old and new from over 30 years of her career, I was reminded how blessed I am to have been raised in a community with such strong theatre and musical programs. 🎭

Not only did Holly give me the courage to
pursue musical theater & dance in college, she also gave me my first opportunity behind-the-scenes as a stage manager, instilling in me that “You can do both!” All of which lead me to NYC to pursue a life in the arts.🗽

I’ll forever cherish the magical memories made, life-long friendships formed, and the extraordinary experiences we were lucky enough to share at such formative years of our lives. THANK YOU for teaching us not only how to be great artists, but also how to be great humans. I’m beyond grateful! 🙏

Major shoutout to @instabraxfacts for bringing us all together and to everyone involved (both in-person & virtually) for creating such a special celebration! 🎉

As my puppet friends once said and I’ll always try to remember: “Everything in life is only for now!” 🎶

One final post in the spirit of archiving an extraordinary weekend. To celebrate the retirement of our theatre teacher Holly Stanfield, three decades of her students reunited to recreate musical numbers they performed in high school under her mentorship. ✨🎶

We really are the luckiest. Not only did we get to be in stellar productions where we grew as performers and artists, attended amazing theatre festivals, were part of pilot productions and won awards, we also got to form a lasting bond that seamlessly connects generation after generation of students. Thank you, Holly Stanfield, for the talent you discovered, the skills you taught, the high expectations and the endless opportunities, but also for the people we are all connected to for a lifetime which is, perhaps, the best gift of all.
