Meet the Owner, Ep. 1: Jake of @gratitudecoffeebar ☕

“Life tastes better with Gratitude.”

That’s the idea Jake built his coffee shop around, a place to slow down, focus on the good, and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

I’m not high maintenance… I just have high standards and an expensive wellness routine! 💅😂🍷

Dear husband, consider it an investment! 💸❤️

We started @adgynlocal because we kept seeing the same problem from both sides.

Online ads keep getting more expensive, and for a small business, a lot of that spend never reaches the people who live down the street.

Plenty of local business owners have never run paid ads at all, or tried and quietly gave up. What a lot of them want is something closer to home, a way to be known by the neighborhood they actually serve.

At the same time, local shops and cafés are looking for new ways to bring in revenue.

So we thought, what if they helped each other? A neighborhood café hands out hundreds of cups a week. A local electrician, realtor, or gym wants to reach the people on that same block. Put the two together and the community gets to see who’s right around the corner.

Your neighborhood, sponsored by your neighbors. ☕

Run a café, or want your business seen around the neighborhood? DM us.

🇺🇸 A year ago, I thought getting leaner simply meant eating less.
Today, I understand that my body needed something different.
I didn’t start another “diet.” I started paying attention to what I was actually giving my body — especially protein.
Now I train consistently and build my meals around protein: protein shakes, eggs and egg whites, chicken, steak, lentils, quinoa — and I actually measure and track it to make sure I’m getting enough.
And yes, calorie balance still matters. But for me, the change wasn’t simply about eating less. It was about eating smarter, prioritizing protein, and staying consistent with my training.
The number on the scale is just one number. I care much more now about strength, muscle and body composition.
Same body. Different approach. 💪🏼⁩
