A few weeks ago, I was in the emergency room for sudden surgery. Right before the anesthesia kicked in, a thought hit me hard—what if I don’t wake up? What if I don’t get to see my family again? It was a kind of fear I can’t fully put into words.

That moment shifted something in me.

So this birthday feels different. It’s not about anything big or extravagant—it’s about being here, being alive, and being surrounded by people who truly matter. My friends, my chosen family, my family—the ones who show up with love, laughter, and real energy.

Getting older is a privilege, but it also comes with loss. I lost two good friends last year and didn’t get the chance to say goodbye.

Life feels fuller when you realize how fragile it can be. And right now, I just feel grateful—for every message, every hug, every shared moment.

Here’s to more life, more love, and never taking any of it for granted.
