WHEN OTHERS SAW AN OBSTACLE, THEY SAW AN OPPORTUNITY.

Just a few weeks ago, the outlook for our 25th Class Reunion was bleak. Despite months of planning and conversations, it appeared that this milestone could pass without a celebration.

But a group of our classmates decided that “no reunion” simply wasn’t an option.

They picked up the baton, rallied together, and accomplished in a matter of days what had seemed increasingly improbable over several months.

And they made it happen!

What I appreciate most is that they didn’t spend their time discussing what should have happened or what could have been done differently. They recognized an opportunity, took ownership, and got to work.

Several of them graciously attempted to share the credit with me, but I want to be clear: This was THEIR initiative, THEIR effort, and THEIR accomplishment. And they deserve every bit of recognition for it.

On behalf of myself and the many classmates who attended, participated, and anticipated something special, I want to publicly express my appreciation.

You didn’t just organize an event. You preserved an opportunity for us to celebrate a milestone we’ll never get back.

Thank you for stepping up, seeing it through, and refusing to let the moment pass us by.

The credit belongs to those who did the work. And today, I want to make sure the recognition does, too.

Much love and appreciation! LHS Class of 2001! ❤️

RETIRE? SHIIIIDDDD. 😂

Too much left to do. Too many games left to play. Too many things I haven’t even tried yet.

Getting older was always part of the plan. Giving up never was.

If you felt this one, share it. Somebody else is thinking the same thing.

Homecoming does it every time for me…

There’s something about reconnecting with friends, reliving those memories, and hearing the soundtrack from that chapter of life that just feels refreshing.

Being surrounded by beautiful, inspired, driven Black people who are out making an impact in their own corners of the world, but can still come back home, let their hair down, laugh, reminisce, and simply enjoy each other.

The Bonfire is always the perfect kickoff. 🔥 Part 1

43 years old. Still showing up. Still putting in work.

Basketball courts. Plyometric workouts. Wherever there’s an opportunity to challenge himself, Tonio finds a way.

And sometimes, that means putting in work right at home.

The younger crowd might have the years on their side, but competition doesn’t come with an expiration date.

For Tonio, getting older hasn’t meant doing less. It’s meant continuing to discover what he’s capable of.

You’re not winding down. You’re warming up.

Appreciate you representing the culture, Tonio.

Different sport. Different season of life. Same competitive spirit.

Back in college, Woody competed on the football field. Now in his 40s, he’s still finding ways to challenge himself.

This time, it’s a 13.1 miles!

And this one hits a little differently for us. Woody recently picked up the NVR RTR Essentials Bundle and took The Grind along for the run.

No sponsorship. No script. Just somebody who believes in what we’re building and is out there living it.

From the football field to the marathon course, the game keeps evolving.

The game doesn’t end. You just keep finding new ones.

Appreciate the love and support, Woody. And congratulations on the miles!

Took a quick trip out to Atl to catchup up with my teammates and classmates for SpelHouse Homecoming. It was my 20 year reunion, even though I technically stayed a 5th year because I was enjoying college a little too much lol. Great seeing everyone, and yes, hands down we still have the best homecoming of all HBCU’s. Lol. #SpelHouse #HoopPhiHoop

Mom. Professional. And somewhere in the middle of everything life asks of her, Johnna still finds time for herself.

To move. To take care of her body. To protect her peace. To keep becoming.

It won’t always look the same. It won’t always fit neatly into the schedule. Sometimes you just have to keep finding your way.

Johnna is doing exactly that.

And she’ll always have another distinction around here: the first person to ever purchase NVR RTR. 🤝🏾

Appreciate you believing in this from the beginning.

I STILL COMPETE.

Your turn.

Use this as your first slide. Then show us what still competing looks like for you.

Post it. Tag @nvrrtr. Then tag somebody who should go next.

Different games. Different point in life. Same mindset.

The game looks different at 42.

Former pro athlete. Now a dad. An entrepreneur. Life got fuller, time got tighter, and the days of being paid to compete are behind him.

But competing never left.

Some days it’s basketball. Some days it’s Stone Mountain. Today, it’s two wheels and an open road.

You don’t have to keep doing it the same way. You just have to keep finding your way.

Herm is still finding his.
