Reimagining Fashion through Research, Collaboration and Community.

"The world is changed one nation at a time,
A nation is changed one community at a time,
Communities are changed one person at a time,
And a person is changed one thought at a time.

When you undertake to change your thoughts you begin the process of changing the dynamics of your universe." - Errol Michael Henry ('Better Living By Design, 2007).

Thanks to everyone who came to visit me in the exhibition for Day 2 and for yesterday's community workshops with @_colechi - despite the rain!

Changing hearts and minds, building bridges between my worlds of craft, fashion, architecture and regenerative design: one conversation at a time.

Ready for Day 3, more conversations and making meaningful connections with our next event hosted by @louiejoefindlater and @raindancefilmfestival.

Ps. COLECHI are back with us same time next Sunday for round 2!

Carpe Diem! ❤️💃🏽

Sisters in Sustainability is creating space to pause, reflect and connect during Copenhagen Fashion Week.

This gathering invites wxmen of colour working across sustainability, fashion, beauty, technology, media and impact to meet one another and open up the floor to share what’s happening in our world, our hopes for the future and navigating the industry.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, creative, researcher, communicator or changemaker, this is an opportunity to become part of a growing collective committed to positive impact.

The session will be held by SIS Member Tina Wetshi. Tina Wetshi is a London-based curator and sustainability advocate. Working at the intersection of fashion, community, and systems change. She is the co-founder of Colèchi, a research agency and collective focused on rethinking the fashion industry through collaboration, education, and sustainable development.

Light refreshments will be available.

Book your free seat through the link in bio.

Our highlights from Sundays Green Fair hosted by @sustainablenewham and @newham_one for @thegreatbiggreenweek.

We really got into the “Guess what this material is made from” game, and I think we can agree that the tencel yarn threw most of us off.

We were part of the @friendsofbecktonparks zone, collectively sharing the many activities happening on our doorstep. The day started off with a speech from Nate Higgins @nathggns, Chair of @newhamlondon.

Moments for us: Monika from @_abbeygardens sharing behind the scenes of the life of bees (and how they recruit a queen👑), @uelsustainability highlighting what we can do with technical waste (they accept donations 📲). The healing balm from @htthopegarden, ran by Newham Centre for Mental Health. Plus browsing through (and buying) homemade creations from small businesses.

Plus joining a panel led by @climating_ and featuring @respaceprojects, @scope3ce

🗣 “Being part of Colèchi’s workshops helped me connect with people from different backgrounds, and it made my King’s experience so much richer and more fulfilling.”
