@_completelybooked calls these five books bangers, and Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers is in good company. We worked on its audiobook, so it’s lovely to see it on her list! 🦟

Highlights from the 13th Morristown Festival of Books (my 2nd visit!).

Such an amazing lineup of authors. I can't wait to read A Splintering (Pakistani woman as a mob boss? Yes please!) by @dureamna. Our discussion was masterfully guided by Jordan Hernandez of @_completelybooked .

Finally got to meet Carol Fitzgerald of @bookreporter in person. We shared the evening listening to the ever brilliant @malcolmgladwell speak about his latest book - The American Way of Killiing- an insightful, fresh take on gun violence.

Picked up a book by @erinentrada for my daughter and was thoroughly enchanted by @annaqwrites for an hour as she introduced her latest, More Than Enough.

Ate an incredible Lebanese meal at @lylamorristown. Warm and cozy food and service!

we gathered for the second save our stories banned books dinner and my heart is so full🥹

from authors to readers, activists, librarians, and teachers, we heard the undeniable impact of stories and understand what is at stake. it’s about access, representation and the freedom to read

together, we will continue to fight to save our stories💌

thank you @penguinrandomhouse and @freedom_to_read_foundation for an unforgettable evening! until next year💕

Inspired by my sister @tuhkyjuhslife, I want to take a moment to honor a few of the Black Women who are elevating the literary space! They are mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and friends in a world that continues to dishonor them, yet they still show up with love, care, and tenderness. I’m grateful to share space with these powerful Black Women in this literary space and this is only part 1! #bookstagram #protectblackwomen #blackgirlmagic #bookish #reading

I’ve finally recovered from a whirlwind second leg of the tour for CROC — first in DC for @teach_change with fellow Central American writers, then @bookmarksnc festival in North Carolina, and finally @bkbookfest — so many wonderful conversations, lots of laughs, & new & forever friendships 🐊💚

It was an honor to join so many talented authors at the Martha’s Vineyard Black Book Festival this year!

There is something deeply special about gathering in a place where stories are not simply told, but shared, questioned, celebrated, and carried forward.

I am grateful for the opportunity to speak and hear from other authors, readers, and fellow storytellers I encountered along the way.

Thank you to everyone who made the weekend so meaningful.
