“She is just too much.”

As someone who suffers from imposter syndrome and has always felt like they were “never enough”, hearing these words from not just the audience but the judges this past week at Miss Colorado made me realize something: I am “enough” the way I am, whether that’s too little or too much. Well I didn’t walk away with the crown, I truly learned so much this week from everyone I was around.

Lila, you gave me the courage and motivation to be vulnerable and share my story. Without all your encouragement, I would have left this weekend feeling more empty handed.
Matti, you are truly such a blessing. You are an incredible young woman and a future baddie!! Can’t wait to work alongside you in the FBI someday 😉
Karol, you listened to me and felt my emotions when I felt like I couldn’t share them with anyone else. You helped me realize that I have so much to keep giving to the world, even if I don’t win.
To all of my other backstage girlies, I truly had so much being with you downstairs and loved all of your energy.
Destiny and Kinzie, I have truly never felt prettier in my life, and it wasn’t just all your amazing work. You let me feel free to be my weird little nerdy and quirky self without judgement.
To everyone who supported my journey as Miss Flatirons, THANK YOU. Hearing the love and support you all had for me made me learn that all my hard work was worth it.
To Michelle and Gabby, Team Colorado has a great duo and remember to enjoy every moment of your reign.
Maura and Alex (not pictured.. my bad lol), thank you both for convincing me to give America a try and to never be ashamed to speak up, even when others laugh at our struggles because they don’t understand. @maura.aisling @alexlotko

My pageant journey is not over just yet and I have so many exciting moments to share, but for now I’ll leave yall with one final message.

The kids’ Christmas gift finally came to life today 🤠 - tickets to the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo!
I hadn’t been since I was a kid, and let me tell you… it was just as awesome now as it was then. Watching all the kids experience their first rodeo made it even better. 🐎✨
Bonus: it was CSU Discount Day, so Aaron and Crew were proudly rolling with the green and gold crowd. 💚💛 And of course, Gabby Gramont was there representing the Miss Colorado Organization in style!
Ro and I had to sneak out early to get her to her team skating competition 😜⛸️, but Aaron and the boys stayed behind to explore more animals and soak up all the agriculture life.
Such a fun, full day...and definitely a new family tradition in the making. ❤️

October 23rd = 19 years of loving you, Crew. 💛
You made me a mom, taught me patience, laughter, and what unconditional love really feels like. I couldn’t be prouder of the person you are and the future you’re building. Keep shining your light...the world needs it.

Move-in day… Kucera edition. 🎒

What should have been a normal college drop-off for Crew turned into something straight out of a sitcom.🙈

We had the plan down: Aaron and I got help so we could ditch our school chauffeur duties for the other three kids, packed every boy dorm room essential into the back of my car, and hit the road to CSU. Crew and his girlfriend Lisa took the rest of his stuff 📦 in her car, and off we went!

Twenty minutes later… the school nurse calls.
“Rosalie had woodchips kicked down her throat at recess. She needs to be seen at an ER.”

I’m sorry… WHAT?! Woodchips!? Possibly in her airway?! 🙈

So, we flipped the car around and headed home for another car.
In our family, Aaron gets medical duties So he grabbed the other car and headed to Rosalie’s school while I got back on the road to Fort Collins.

By the time he got there, she was already feeling better (of course). She didn't think anything was stuck in her throat and her airway sounded perfectly clear. So, instead of an ER visit, she got changed, hopped in with Aaron, and the two of them drove up to CSU in car #3. 🤪

Meanwhile, I met Crew and Lisa at CSU so we could haul all his belongings in 95 degree temps. 🥵 At least it's not Arizona!

Crew’s dorm? Extra small. Dinner together? Extra sweet. Saying goodbye? Extra hard. 💔 But he’s only a couple of hours away and has agreed to my one daily “proof of life” picture request so I can make a freshman year photo album. (Future Crew will thank me. Maybe.)

We are so proud of this kid and can’t wait to see him chase his dream of becoming a large animal vet. 🐴🐄
And true to form, it wouldn’t be a real Kucera milestone without Rosalie stealing at least some of the spotlight.😂
