My heart is so full from this past weekend because I truly submerged myself into spending time with friends.

Speaking of friends, @_crownoflove_ saw me present at a natural hair show in Atlanta back in November of 2019! I was speaking on the importance of hydrating your clients hair using a steamer, giving in depth consultations and giving them a regimen to take home and follow.

She reminds me all the time that she stopped me on my way leaving the show to ask me questions but I don’t remember that… I must have been hungry 😂. Anyways, that exposure and moment of exchange turned into her following me on Instagram.

She purchased some of my natural hair masterclasses and mastered her knowledge and skills with her clients. She also signed up for my very first Business Bootcamp for stylists in 2020 and got the backend of her business in order. Jen later became my VIP client in 2022 to guide her through creating other streams of income.

She always shares her wins with me in the DMs as she has grown her business to having a few clients to being booked, deciding on a niche, hiring an assistant, offering both digital and in-person education and now ready for her next move 😝… how dope is that!

She flew in and made sure I was one of her stops visiting Atl and I’m so glad she did. Thank you @_crownoflove_ for always supporting me over these 4 years and sharing your journey with me as you build your beauty business 🥰

If you know me, you know that gifts are my love language. Not just any ol’ gifts.. meaningful.. thoughtful gifts.

I’m beyond grateful for true friends who just get it. It’s the thought that counts… and it’s clear that you were truly thinking of me when you chose these gifts.

Most importantly I’m so thankful for the gift that is you! Your friendship over the last TEN years has been consistent even though my love life has not 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 (I couldn’t resist)

Point is.. I thank God for you, sis! Love you to the moon and back again! Thank you for being my riding but nah cause we ain’t dying friend. Praying that for every time you’ve poured into me, that God will bless your life abundantly a hundred times over.

🌸 Lastly, We will be honoring Cancer Survivors as my way of giving back to the community celebrate my 5 years of being Cancerfree!!! Glory to God!

🌸Medically you are not considered Cancerfree until you go 5 years without cancer BUT God told me that I was Healed! 3 days after I receive the phone call that I had cancer. We appreciate our doctors but I was going with the Great Physicians Report that “By His Stripes” I am HEALED!

🌸Which is why I had to share my testimony in my first 📚 books , “Stepping Out on Faith Dare to Dream : A Journal of Faith”. New hair, who dis?!

So we talked about how I’m tired of my hair & it’s time for a break. I decided to go w/ Cuban twists to leave my hair alone for a few weeks.

When protective styling it’s important that there’s very little tension on your hair, especially your hairline. Too much tension can possibly cause permanent hair loss.

If it’s too tight, say something, sis!💕 Your scalp will thank you.
@_crownoflove_ on the Cuban Twists. Go ahead & book 😉
