Meet #2 recap 🏅💪

Not every lift goes according to plan. As a (wannabe) bench specialist, I had high expectations for my bench this meet, and yet I bombed out.
I was so excited to be starting out +30lbs on my last meet bench. So exciting in fact I missed the start command and got straight to it.
Even with technicalities taking me out, the weight was flying! I took the win, and will drill in commands, and work on keeping my glutes on the dang bench this coming prep.

I really showed up for deadlifts on the other hand. I took home 2 state records & 2 medals (open & junior DLO). My top attempt was 315lbs (over 15lbs meet PR)!! After making a cut of 20lbs+ I was struggling to hit my previous PR at all, but as they say, it’ll be there on meet day, and it was.

While nothing went as I expected it to, I am glad to have more experience competing. I had a blast competing with family & friends, and we’re so thankful for everyone that showed up for us all!

When life gives you lemons, you get fat and lift a lot of weight 😈. Special thanks to @tb_strengthetics for being an amazing coach. Also thank you to everyone that supported me.
