Staff salaries are unpaid… but the boss is flying business class. 👀✈️

David George’s advice? Have the conversation. Ask the uncomfortable questions.

Because how a leader lives while employees are struggling can affect morale, trust and ultimately the quality of work.

And sometimes, that conversation tells you everything you need to know about what to do next.

Sometimes, all it takes is one boss who sees something in you. ❤️

David George asked for six months to turn around a struggling company. His boss didn’t know if he could do it. But he saw his confidence, gave him the opportunity and helped develop it into something bigger.

Years later, David says that moment still influences what he’s building today.

Has a boss ever believed in you before you fully believed in yourself? 👇🏾

Correcting an employee is one thing. Humiliating them in front of a client is another.

Have you ever had to swallow your response just to keep your job? 😭

“I’m not paying you because I want to build you.”

Sir, build me with my salary intact, please. 😭

Our Episode 9 guest recalls working as an accountant for a company that had enough money to pay salaries. He knew because he was the one paying everyone else.
But when it came to HIS salary, his boss suddenly became a motivational speaker.
Apparently, money would distract him. And girls would distract him. And not getting paid was all part of his development. 👀

What’s the most creative excuse a boss has ever given you for not paying your salary?

Your boss made the mistake. But somehow, YOU became the problem. 👀

Our Episode 9 guest speaks about leaders who shift blame to junior employees because they don't want to be seen making mistakes.

And sometimes, the damage goes beyond that one incident. People lose confidence in their abilities. Some even walk away from careers they once loved.

Have you ever been blamed for a mistake that wasn't yours?

Your boss says you’re too young to earn a salary… so he pays you in food and accommodation instead. 😭

Our Episode 9 guest shares a workplace experience that raises a serious question: At what point does “I’m taking care of you” become exploitation? 👀
