Solstice. ❄️

Embraced by the darkness.
Refined by the fire.
Renewed by the rising sun.

🌌🔥🌞

Last night we gathered for the first time outside of the House of Shakti studio to celebrate the Winter Solstice. We sat in circle around a fire, blanketed by the night sky to align our energy with the Winter season and the themes of darkness, letting go, death & rebirth.

We moved through a fire ritual of reflection and contemplation and wrote down what it is that we are ready to let go of, surrendering it to the burning flames.

We connected to our power, inner fire and strength as women to release what was no longer serving us. Using breath work techniques, shaking the body, Kriya practices and meditation to shift our energy and create more space in our mind, body and soul.

With this renewed sense of spaciousness, we then invited in a positive intention for ourselves and for the collective of women to focus on as we move into the second half of the year. We infused these intentions into beautiful beaded bracelets for one another as a gift giving practice, honouring the Pagan tradition of Yule. 🎁📿💖

We would like to thank all of the women who came along, for your presence, warmth and open hearts. It was such a beautiful evening and we are so grateful to the women in our community who inspire us every day to continue to share this powerful work. 🙏🏻🌹

Our next women’s gathering will be held back in the studio at the beginning of August, where we will be celebrating the seasonal sabbath ‘Imbolc’. 🌱
More details coming soon!
