HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!!

One year, I dedicated this month to posting my favorite images whether they were mine or not. This month I will be celebrating blackness in my own art. So all month long we're getting my favorite images with some of the dopest brothas and sistas I've worked with over the years.

I'm can't recall how I first came up with this idea. I wanted to do a shoot of sistas with natural hair. It was probably due to the fact that there was something going on in the landscape where sistas were getting shade for wearing their natural hair. Or maybe I was just so infatuated with models with that look that I wanted a group shoot. Knowing me, it was probably the latter.

This was back in the day when I had MUCH better luck at getting models together for a group shoot. Probably because four of these ladies were four of my favorite muses at the time. They were ALWAYS reliable whenever I had a shoot concept. Plus, they delivered dope photos every single time. We only had one model drop out last minute and even in spite of that this Fro Patrol session still turned out spectacular...

Scroll to read an excerpt ➡️ So excited and proud to have been interviewed and included in Elle Hollywood! ♥️ I’ll put the link in my stories so you can read the entire article, but here’s a little excerpt.

Special thank you to @theartisangroup who has allowed the doors to open up for me in so many ways 🙏 If you’re an artisan and wondering how I get so many opportunities being from a small town, please check them out and feel free to ask me questions. I love helping other women grow and succeed. Also, thank you to @lainy_bear who wore ABRAU during NYFW and who wears ABRAU every day 🫶 Thank you to the gorgeous and talented actress @harlan_drum who wore my wishbone necklace on @sweetmagnoliasnetflix pictured in Elle Hollywood and all the wonderful costume designers who use my work on their shows! I love being in an industry that lifts women up so that we can all succeed 💫

AGRADECIDA INFINITAMENTE 🙏🏼
