Today was grandmas first Mother’s Day in heaven, and my first time visiting her since she has gone home. I’ve been so scared of opening the feelings again of her passing that’s why it has taken so long because it doesn’t feel real. I was feeling guilty that I hadn’t gone to visit because when she was here I would call her everyday and visit her a few times a week and take her on dates just her and I, so I felt like she was mad at me for not visiting, but I remember her telling me “don’t come visit me and bring me flowers to my grave, but bring me flowers and visit me while I’m still here.” So I feel like today was my first step into starting my healing process. Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful mothers out there whether you’re a dog mom, stepmom , grandma, and even your loved one is in heaven, always celebrate them! But a special happy Mother’s Day to my family in these pictures. Stay blessed everyone ❤️
