WEEK 2 RECAP

Another slow start saw us fall behind 1-0 early, but once again, the boys responded.
A goal from Chofiz and some key saves from Brandon helped us battle back to a 2-2 deadlock at halftime.

The second half was a different story.
We took control of the match, with Chofiz making his presence felt on both ends of the pitch. After Brandon received a yellow card and a five-minute sin bin, Chofiz stepped into goal and delivered one of the biggest moments of the night with a penalty kick save.

We carried that momentum forward, added a few more goals, and secured our first win of the season, 5-2.

Man of the Match: @charlyochoa10 👏
Back-to-back MOTM honors for Chofiz, who continues to show his quality and versatility.

Two weeks in, this league is shaping up to be competitive and entertaining. It’s always a pleasure to face quality opponents who push us to play at a higher level. That’s what makes the game enjoyable, competing against good players and trusting the quality of the guys around you.

We remain unbeaten as our chemistry continues to grow and the group improves each week. Hopefully, we’ll have a full squad available as we prepare for our next challenge against league leaders Super Campeones.

Another opportunity to test ourselves and continue building toward the level we know this club is capable of reaching.

We move. Vamos. 🔥

Our roster for the upcoming season at SoccerZone Lakeline.

Different backgrounds. Different qualities. Different personalities. Different nationalities. Different leagues and experiences throughout their careers.

But one thing remains the same, their collective desire to compete, be great, and win.

We do everything we can to bring together some of the best talent in Austin, and this season is no different.

There aren’t many opportunities in Austin to see collective talent like this playing together as a unit, while also getting to see their individual qualities on display.

We hope to see some of you at SoccerZone Lakeline this season.

Well. The margins were thin again.

This time, we found a way.

After three attempts at the Vanta 10K Qualifier, Bandits FC is headed to Dallas.

It wasn’t easy. We let a two-goal lead disappear in the final with less than three minutes remaining and ultimately had to settle it from the spot.

Penalties ended our first run.

Penalties sent us through this time.

This qualification belongs to more than the group that played this weekend. A lot of players have represented Bandits through these three qualifiers and helped us get to this point. From Diego Fagundez, Julian Sandoval, Jacob Powell, and everyone else who couldn’t be with us this time, we’ll do our best to represent the time and effort you’ve put into this club and this opportunity.

Thank you once again to Vanta for putting together another great event and giving our club a platform to compete at a high level.

Now we get to represent Austin in Dallas alongside Bald Frauds and Barrio.

We know what’s waiting for us. The Metroplex has some serious teams and some very good players. We’ll have to play our best football to have a chance.

That’s all we wanted.

A chance.

Dallas next. 🤝

What do they say when you win once? Great job. Twice? That’s a hell of a run. Three times? Impressive. But what do they say when you just keep winning?

Different players. Different teams. Different days. Different competitions. Somehow, the same result.

One thing has always remained the same: the mentality, the hunger, the willingness to sacrifice, and the desire to win for the men next to you.

Bandits FC has never been defined by one player, and it never will be. Since 2023, this club has been built around whoever is willing to put on the jersey and compete. Friends who were here from the beginning, current and former professionals, college players, players between clubs, and guys nobody knew who simply needed an opportunity. Every one of them has played a part in what this club has become.

Sometimes these guys show up not even knowing exactly who they’ll be playing alongside that night. Yet somehow they come together, play beautiful football, compete for each other, and find a way to win.

To both championship teams and everyone who competed for this club along the way, thank you. These trophies belong to you.

At this point, we’ve won just about everything there is for us to win. We’ll take a small break, keep building, and figure out how we can continue pushing this club and soccer in our city forward.

One down. Onto the next.

A 3-1 win over Inter Austin sends us through to the quarterfinals of the Champions of Champions.

Our MOTM & highlight of the night goes to @_ddereck , who came off the bench and made an immediate impact. Within minutes, he found the back of the net and went on to score another, completing his brace and putting the game out of reach.

As our club has grown, we’ve learned to embrace the fact that every team we face is going to bring the best group they can against us. We expect it, because we approach every game the same way. We recruit strategically from a group of talented players who are willing to represent our club and compete at the highest level. The truth is, a lot of the players who wear our badge could play almost anywhere.

But names and talent don’t win games for you. We have to take it one match at a time, compete every time we step on the field, and continue working toward our goal of being the best 7-a-side team in Austin.

Next up: Alcohol y Fuerza FC.
Monday, August 17 | 9:05 PM | NEMP
All we can do is keep competing and keep winning every game we can.

Vamos!🔥
