volume [02]

as one week ends and another begins, eye wanted to make sure there was some reflection on the time in-between.

we appreciate everyone who came out to support Matte Black and everyone involved in helping out this past friday. to this volume’s sightseers, thank you immensely. from T.D. and A.C. on creative coordination crew(triple c😼) and staging to R.D. and J.M. with venue breakdown. much thanks to our visual artists @stephborkowski @_eye.d_ @nufolder_ [ @theladymorae @iammiskeenoriginal by way of personal collection] as well as our performers for the evening @ca.msimmons @k_.jo1 @mr612salutes (who eye was DETERMINED to call “antwan stanley jr” for whatever good reason) and @sno0zed . every person involved in helping to make this event work is so deeply appreciated, and we thank you providing your talents and abilities to this initiative.

we raised some good money and had a good time while doing it. still taking donations until 6/26(this friday)! so if you didn’t get a opportunity to make a donation on friday or couldn’t make it out, there’s still an opportunity to support the nonprofit orgs represented by some of our performers and visual artists:

📍Philly Thrive
📍UD Library
📍NAACP-Philadelphia Chapter
📍Homies Helping Homies

“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
— MP

Feeling beyond grateful as I close out this incredible year 🤍
To my amazing husband — my high school sweetheart, my forever — thank you for being my world.
To my mom for helping me plan every detail, my parents and grandmother for their endless love, and support in ways I’ll never stop thanking them❤️, our wedding party for showing up every step of the way🥰 and our family & friends for surrounding us with nothing but love thank you.

2025 was a dream, and I’m so excited to walk into 2026 married to the love of my life 🫶🏾
