We come to the Colonial…for ✨magic✨

Anyone who knows me personally knows that I’m obsessed with movies. So to be able to attend a festival (in walking distance to my house, no less) where I can watch new and exciting films all weekend?? As Lizzie Maguire once sang, this is what dreams are made of.

About the festival: The annual Phoenixville Film Festival is a celebration of independent film that includes film screenings, filmmaker’s panels, workshops, after-parties, and an awards ceremony.

Here’s when to see the films I listed in this post, but keep in mind that there are waaaaay more movies and cool activities on the schedule than just these:

-The Haunting of Pennhurst: Thurs Sept 17th at 7pm
-Lazybones: Fri Sept 18th at 6:30pm (Short film block)
-Crime & Parody: Sat Sept 19th at 3pm (use code PFFCOMMUNITY to get a free ticket to the screening!)
-Warm Beer: Sat Sept 19th at 7pm (Short film block)
-Waves: Sat Sept 19th at 7pm (Short film block)
-Mimi the Mime: Sat Sept 19th at 7pm (Short film block)
-Reflections on Belonging: Sun Sept 20th at 2:30pm (Short documentaries block)

Which film are you looking forward to the most? 🍿

Event details:

In Between explores what it feels like to exist between worlds, questioning where you belong, and searching for a greater purpose. Its about embracing every chapter that has shaped who I am, learning that our differences and unique experiences aren’t something to hide. It’s a reminder that the beauty of life is found in the spaces in between and thats what make our stories meaningful.

I wrote, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered this song myself. The video was filmed and edited by me alongside my wife and creative partner.

Please like, comment, and share! Your support means the world to me.

This song and video tell a very real chapter of my life.
After a drunk driver left me paralyzed, everything changed. I had to relearn who I was, rebuild my confidence, and find purpose again. Music became my therapy, my outlet, and my way forward. This track is about overcoming those challenges, trusting the process, and realizing that even when life takes something from you, it can’t take your voice.

This song is about resilience, self-discovery, and finding hope when doubt feels overwhelming. Every part of this project reflects my journey of healing, growth, and self-belief.

If you’re going through something heavy, I hope this reminds you that you’re not lost, even if you don’t know where you’re going yet.

If this resonates with you, please like, comment, and share. Your support means more than you know. Thank you for listening, watching, and supporting.

ITS MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!✨

We just dropped a video filmed this summer about the week we celebrated my wife’s birthday at Longwood Gardens, complete with a 5-course blind tasting at 1906. Then our 1-year anniversary at Stone Farm Cellars sipping wine and soaking up vineyard views. And to top it all off, watching the legendary Nas perform Illmatic live with the Philadelphia Orchestra!

We’re beyond honored… our film won Best Short Documentary at the @phoenixvillefilmfestival this weekend! 🏆🎬✨

What started as a deeply personal journey of finding and meeting my birth mom, then turning that story into a documentary with my wife, has become something so much bigger. Sharing our story with the world, connecting with incredible filmmakers and now celebrating this award together feels surreal.❤️

Thanks to my mom for letting me share our story, thanks to my wife for helping me tell our story and thanks to my adopted parents for being so supportive. Love ya’ll. Also, thanks to everyone at the Phoenixville Film Festival for curating such an inspiring event. The screenings, workshops and community were all amazing. And to all the filmmakers, screenwriters and film lovers we met… your kindness, passion and support made this festival unforgettable.🙌🏾

Special shoutout to @bryans.photoandvideo for capturing the magic. More photos coming soon! 📸

A gorgeous wedding photo from the creative duo DOSOPPOS. Oppo is an artists and spinal cord injury survivor from Philadelphia. "July 24th used to mark one of the darkest days of my life, the day a drunk driver left me paralyzed. But a year ago, everything changed. Now, July 24th carries a new meaning. It is no longer a reminder of pain but a celebration of love. One of the BEST days. It’s amazing how she manages to brighten any situation. Happy anniversary."
