Finished off the install today of these Blackbutt entry doors with some beautiful timber supplied by @brittontimbers These were made with solid hardwood laminated cores for ultimate stability, Blackbutt edging as well as Blackbutt shop sawn veneers. Traditional mortise and tenon joinery, built right and built to last. This was a challenging build to say the least but I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out’ Also big thanks to @yorkshirerose.design for the help installing!

Custom Walnut High Chair heading to Adelaide this week. This was a really fun project to design and build and definitely wasn’t without its challenges! Hand shaped seat base and back rest with an adjustable foot rest and tray to accomodate those growth spurts. #carbitoolmade

Looking back @drewcollindesigns bassinet that was designed and created in response to the curved work component of the Cert IV course @sturtgalleryandstudios last year.

The timber is silky oak and the top rail was steam bent, the legs are sculpted to achieve an integrated and well balanced piece.

Check out @drewcollindesigns account to see more of his work.

2023 was a year filled with both personal and professional growth. The skills and knowledge I’ve gained was far beyond my expectations and the friendships formed made for an incredibly enjoyable year that I’ll never forget. Moving forward, I’m in the final stages of setting up my workshop and will be opening the books for 2024! I look forward to what the future holds and can’t wait to get this small business off the ground!!

Just finished up this hall table for the major term 2 project. This was our first project where we had full design freedom, the only perameter was that it had to be a coffee table or hall table and it had to include a drawer. What started as a thumbnail sketch in my notebook, with lots of help from @davidupfillbrown and more learning crammed into 7 weeks than I could have imagined, this is the final result! Made from Tasmanian Blackwood and Celery top Pine for the drawer sides.
