Global Sport Agora London 2026 🇬🇧
Shaping the Future of Sport Through the Athlete’s Perspective

Following my participation last year, I was delighted to return to Global Sport Agora, hosted by the World Academy of Sport, bringing together global leaders in sport, finance and investment.

Last October, I made a promise to Mr. Tamai, Chairman of SCO Group: “Let’s attend together next year.” This year, we made it happen. I’m proud to have helped create the opportunity for a Japanese company to participate in Global Sport Agora for the first time. 🇯🇵🤝🌍

This year’s theme, “Building Sport as an Asset Class,” explored how investment can create sustainable, long-term value while protecting the integrity and intrinsic values of sport.

One message particularly resonated with me: athletes are not merely investment assets; they are essential stakeholders in shaping the future of sport.

As an Olympian who has experienced both retirement and a return to competition, I strongly believe that commercial growth must go hand in hand with athlete well-being, sporting integrity and authentic connections with fans.

Discussions also covered athlete rights, AI, biometric data, post retirement careers and reinvestment in grassroots sport.

I was particularly inspired by @pernillawiberg OLY, President of the @world.olympians and @olympics gold medallist, and Tony Asghar, Founder and Managing Partner of Revolution Sports Investment, alongside many other distinguished speakers and participants.

My key takeaway is that maximising the value of sport and protecting its intrinsic values are not mutually exclusive.

Japan has world class athletes, outstanding technology and a distinctive culture. Connecting these strengths with the global sports business ecosystem to create new opportunities and value is a mission I’m committed to pursuing.

My sincere thanks to Chris Solly and everyone at the World Academy of Sport for welcoming me back this year.

Inspired by the conversations and connections, I look forward to continuing to create new value through sport, drawing on my experience as an athlete and Olympian and my international network.🤝🌏

World Championships 🌈

A hard fought race after a mechanical issue and dropping my chain on the bike, but I’m proud of myself for fighting till the end and walking away with 4th place! This was one of those races where I truly felt the joy of the sport and pushing myself to my limits!

Lots of changes this season with graduating medical school and starting residency all while racing around the world, but I couldn’t be prouder of how I raced and continue to grow in this sport! All glory to God! Excited to settle into being a doctor and chasing LA28 in the off season!

CONSISTENCY.

Being great isn’t about having one perfect day.
It’s about showing up every day.

Doing the work when you feel good, but especially when you don’t.
Repeating the basics. Trusting the process. Being patient enough to let thousands of small efforts add up.

At the highest level, everyone works hard.
The difference is who can keep doing it — week after week, month after month, year after year.

You don’t need to be extraordinary every day.
You need to be consistent long enough to become extraordinary.
