Dear soccer.

This definitely wasn’t the ending I wanted to have with you, but for every action there is consequences and that is my biggest learning this year. Coach tried to teach me that sophomore year when I had to sit out most of the season due to not properly stretching and I didn’t listen. I won’t be shy in saying I 110% took advantage of soccer this year. I had distractions and I wasn’t fully in it like I should’ve been and for that I regret it, I’m sorry to my teammate and my coaches. Enough of the negativity because if you’ve known me the past four years, I said “I can’t do it” over a million times. Over the past four years I have fell in love harder than I ever have, and I am so greatful that I was given the best girls by my side at all times. If I had the chance I would play a whole other season with them. I want to thank everyone who believed in me, most importantly my teammates and Lundyn. He was the best coach a girl could’ve asked for, he was hard on us but he was fun at the same time. I will forever miss the girls on the team and they have a big part in making me who I am today. Soccer, and this team will forever hold such an important part in my heart and I will miss Annie’s soccer for the rest of my life. I will forever miss being able to lift my girls up when I know they needed it, being lifted up when they know I need it, laughing, the bus ride talks with addi, Athena doing my bun, the pre game warmups, the stops for fun that took ridiculously long this year, the group chat blowing up 24/7, the bus drama discussions, leaving the equipment on the bus, I will miss all the pictures we have together and most importantly all of the Saturday practices. Those were my most favorite practices believe it or not. I will miss and cherish every memory on and off the field for the rest of my life. I’m so thankful for this sport and the people it gave me, it was never strictly about winning or losing for me, it was about trying my hardest to help my team win and making friendships along the way, and I wish I tried harder. I wish I didn’t take it for granted. After many many years.. me and soccer have cut our loose ends🫶🏼
