Time flies when you’re having fun huh?

I remember thinking to myself after watching the class of 2023 do their senior play “man, I can’t wait to do something like that!” It felt like it was just a last week when I had those thoughts. Waited four years for a show that lasted three days, but the process of working on the play with everyone involved has been some of the best moments of my life. I’ve gotten so much closer with so many of you and I’m so grateful to have gotten to be apart of this with all of you amazing people! I’ll truly miss dancing during rehearsals whether it be on stage, or off (even when we’re supposed to be locked in and not emoting every few seconds)! I’ll miss getting to eat with some of you after rehearsals, and so much more. I believe we were able to produce what may have very well been the greatest school production of this play of all time thanks to how tightly we all bonded and it won’t be the same performing on the bigger stages without you guys!

And just like that, a five year chapter comes to a close.

From being a tiny eighth grader playing cymbals and third trumpet, to being a tiny senior drum major. At the end of every season, l’d have so many ideas of what l’d say in this post, and now that I’m here, I have no idea what to say. It’s hard to put into words how I feel about the program and the people who have shaped my high school career. This group has made me a better musician and a better person, and I am glad to have met and grown close to everyone who has been involved in it throughout these years. I love you all so much.
