Got to work with some driven talented people and got my model whisperer hat 🎩 on. When dedicated people come together in the pursuit of knowledge, artistic growth, and a shared love for the craft, something truly special happens.
Under the vision of the incredibly talented @edward_aninaru and through his second successful photography workshop @anessence.workshop An Essence, we spent two inspiring days creating relentlessly alongside an exceptional team. Working with three beautiful models from @nomadmgmt_west we produced a body of work we’re all deeply proud of including an image worthy of a Glamour magazine cover and a billboard
Here’s to many more workshops of this caliber, where talent is nurtured, creativity is elevated, and artists leave inspired to push their vision even further.

Learning to slow down and enjoy where I am.

Marisa from six months ago would be SO HAPPY to see what’s happening in their life now. And Marisa from five years ago would be FREAKING OUT at how much has changed for the better. 🩶

I can keep working towards the next goal while also acknowledging that I’m exactly where I need to be in this moment. And I’m grateful.

Been posting a lotttt of career-related stuff lately so I’m here to remind you that I’m also a goofy & awkward human being with real emotions who is more than what they do for a living. 🤓

Collaborating on these photos with @_emiliomesa for my birthday last year unlocked something within me. I was really bummed about entering my 30s and could feel myself shutting down emotionally. This shoot allowed me to simply be. To show up as I was. All of me. No filter, no mask. Just me. Existing. And the honest, vulnerable, beautiful work we created together inspired the hell outta me. I’m still inspired every time I look at these images.

So this is your reminder to take those photos. To sign up for that class. To text that friend. To bake that treat. To exist in this world fully and without shame. Because you are valid. All of you. Just as you are.
