There’s something almost terrifying about loving a moment so deeply, knowing it can never last forever. But isn’t that the whole point? To experience life so fully that the thought of a moment becoming a memory feels almost unbearable. To be so present in something that its temporariness is what makes it ache. Without the contrasts of the highs and lows, the coming and going, the beautiful and the painful, would we ever truly understand the weight of a meaningful moment?

Maybe that’s the paradox of it all: the very thing that makes a moment heartbreaking to lose is what makes it so beautiful to experience in the first place.

Presence is learning to find a kind of eternity in the things that were never meant to last.
